So excited that these images are finally seeing the light of day. In late January we got to work with the beautiful Jenna and her husband, Joey, on a mini photoshoot set up by the one-of-a-kind Heather Armstrong for us to practise and grow our photog skills. This was the first time I got to work with models and it was the last time I shot on my 60D before the glorious upgrade to my 6D. Dang, I have a big learning curve ahead of me when it comes to directing models. Up till now I have worked primarily on documentary style photography where no direction is required - just a keen eye and swift ninja photo-snapping skills. So this next season is going to be me grabbing opportunities where I can to learn - I've got a wedding coming up this Friday, some portrait shots lined up with friends, and hopefully a newborn shoot too.
On a side note, wait till I get started on just how steep I feel the learning curve is for videography and production. So much learning, so many techno terms, so much gear, so many brainiacs and so much fun.
